# Outline

## Fill Type

### Solid

Classic border, a solid color.

### Gradient

Choose the type of gradient. *Linear* is a directional gradient, *Radial* starts in the center of the area, and *Linear Border* follows the border, and goes out from the edges.

This is a good way to produce a "Shadow" like effect, different from [Outer Glow](/docs/design/templates-design-your-cards/components/outer-glow.md) in that you can set multiple colors and opacity.

## Opacity

Handles the overall opacity value of the border.

## Thickness

Controls the thickness of the border.

## Blend

Determines the blend mode of the visuals.

## Dashed Line

Toggle on *Dashed* and then set the *Dash Length* to make the outline a dashed line outline.
