# Users

Projects are owned by the **Organization** which created them. Each **User** has their own Organization which they are the admin of.

You can invite other Users to collaborate on your Project. This is useful when working with freelancers, employees, or other team members, allowing multiple people to access and edit Templates, Decks, and more.

Users must have their own *Cardstock Studio* account, but it does not have to be a paid subscription.

Your account comes with at least one user, which includes yourself. All subscription plans, including the free tier, can add additional Users for an additional monthly subscription. This is a floating seat, and can be assigned to any other user. 

Revoking access to a User will free the seat for another User.

## Adding a User

Search for a user using their email address or username. If found, you can send them an invite to join your Project. They must accept the invitation

Each User can be invited to join any number of projects. They will be prompted to accept or decline the invitation when they log in.

When a User is able to access Projects from other Organizations, they must switch to that Organization using the user menu in the top right.

## Setting User Permissions

Select a User to load their Permissions. Here you can choose what the user is able to access, and do, in regards to your Project. By default, they can not create or delete Projects, and all "delete" permissions are off.

## Removing a User

You can remove a User from a Project by clicking the "Remove" button. They will need a new invitation to join the Project again.
